i want to dress like a Japanese girl for Halloween but not like the traditional old kind thing, like the new age pop sort of harajuku kinda thing. Where can i find clothes like that? and the little hair thingies they wear in there hair and small backpacks or whatever?
Answer
http://www.flickr.com/groups/harajuku/ << this is a group which has a lot of photos of Japanese fashion including schoolgirl and Harajuku fashion!
they basically wear childrens hairclips in their hair which you can get from anywhere like Claires or shops which sell hair accessories and jewellry
the backpacks are also kids backpacks which you can get from loads of places such as bargain shoe stores (most of these sell bags as well as shoes) and you could try the Disney store?
if you dont mind buying online, eBay is good for buying a lot of the things you described, ill give you some links to examples here:

a lot of the accessories that the Japanese girls wear are along the lines of Hello Kitty so if you can find Hello Kitty accessories then that would be great! and remember to really get into character you need to keep smiling and doing the peace sign that a lot of Japanese girls do in photos! like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60233675@N00/2709723812/in/pool-harajuku

How old do you have to be to stay in an Ireland/England Hostel?
GreysRadio
My friend and I are planning on backpacking around Ireland and then hitting England later on. I'm 18 but she will only be 17. We wish to stay in youth hostels as to save money. Is she allowed to stay in the Hostel seeing as though she is only 17?
p.s. any advise from world travelers to save money etc.
Answer
I think she'll be fine once you are 18 she will be with "An adult". I stayed in hostels as young as 13 in Ireland with girls who were only 16 at the time so check with this site, the main one for Irish hostels http://www.anoige.ie/, the U.k. wont be much different I'd say.
Here's the U.k. one http://www.yha.org.uk/
Enjoy, it's a great way of seeing this part of the world and all of the hostels have been renovated and are up to date, some are far out in the countryside so be careful as you will have to walk a long way with heavy back packs if you have no transport. Also, check out the paddywagon it's a brilliant way of seeing the country and having the best fun at the same time.
