What is a good 2012-2013 back to school shopping list?

need good high school back to school list for clothes and supplies . but im not going overboard with the supplies
if you could cover how much i should spend and where that is great!
include these in your list

6 jeans --> Try to get different cuts and rinses, so they dont all look the same :)
Sweatpants ---> Hollister makes SUPER CUTE ONES :D
Sweat shorts ---> In the summer you dont want to wear sweats, they are TOO warm, buy yoga shorts if you have the body for it ;D
3 skirts ---> Try one bandage, one denim and one ruffled
2 shorts ---> Try one denim obvi. and maybe a lace or floral depending on your style
15 cute tops ---> Graphic tops, halter tops, lace tops etc...
5 plain ''layering'' tops ---> like plain tank tops, plain v-neck tops etc.. try to buy these in neutral colors
5 sweatshirts ---> I think in America people call these hoodies? But yeah, HCO and A&F make SUPER CUTE ONES :D
5 leggings ( One heather gray, one tan, one black, one optional and one pair of jeggings )
Gym shoes ---> buy cute ones, like puma or something
7 pairs of shoes ---> wedges, slippers, flipflops, gladiator sandals, converse, sperrys...its up to YOU :D
Winter boots ---> try uggs, so cute
Winter slippers ---> yeah again try uggs haha
7 white cotton socks ---> this explains itself lol
3 cute ''fun'' socks --> yeah...ditto
10 cute flirty undies ---> VS makes hot ones :D
6 neutral bras ---> H&M makes cute cheap ones, remember to get padded ones :D
4 ''fun'' bras ( One NEEDS to be strapless!!! ) ---> ditto

Spend a maximum of 250 bucks, you can shop at cheap stores like F21, H&M, Pimkie etc.. and buy staples like sweatshirts at Hollister, no need to buy hollister jeans though :D

Also remember to buy hygiene stuff like pads, face wash etc... if you want a list for that Ill make one :D just ask ;D

Cross Country Running 2012?

First off thanks for reading my question...The 13 of August is the start of my somphore year in high school and I'm running XC again. I ran my freshmen year on my school team and was usually 8-10th runner on the team. Top 7 make varisty. Most of the races we run are all together but to run at regionals and states you have to be on varisty. I've been running since 6th grade so i'm pretty good at running. Right now looking into the season im around the same spot i was last year... So how do i make varsity if i still have a long way to go. Ill name the order i think that will happen and there 5k PR's and please help tell me how i will make varsity and any tips or idea's that will help me get there. It dosent have to be the first meet. i just really wanna run at states. Oh and a second question...? If i'm on a muddy course and i dont have spikes on even with good tied shoes, how do i make sure they dont fall off?

These times were best 5k times last year for most...I can now run between 19:30ish...So PLEASE HELP

My son ran XC this past year and ran in a LOT of mud. He always tucks the ends of the laces and even the loops under either the tongue of the shoe or under the x's that the laces make. He has never lost a shoe while running. Of course it's important that you have good running shoes that fit correctly. And always have plastic bags for the muddy shoes so they don't wreck everything in your bag. When you get home, get your wet running shoes out and remove the innersoles (if they're made to come out) and stuff each shoe with newspaper. The newspaper will draw out all the moisture. Keep changing the newspaper when it's wet and your shoes can be dried out by the next day. Do NOT put them in the dryer! My son used the same pair of sneakers for XC and track (he ran the longer distances) and they are still decent. He will get new ones, but keep these old shoes for when they walk/jog the courses before actually running. Then switch to the new ones.

As for making the varsity, have you been conditioning over the summer? Get a good core workout plan and stick to it. My son has been going to the gym every day and running 3-4 times a week all summer. During meets, his goal is always to improve his time which he did successfully last season. You are very close to the other runners you listed and with growth, etc. over the summer, some of them may not be as fast anymore. But, you need to work hard to make varsity as a sophomore. If you haven't been working out lately, get started NOW so you aren't dying when practices start. GOOD LUCK!!
