Im a single mother of 3 struggling just to get by. This year im afraid my kids will have to reuse there school supllies,backpacks,and clothes from last year. I know they say that kids should start the school year feeling good about them selfs cause when they feel good about them selfs there confidance to excel is much greater .I heard that there are places that help people out in times such as this with school supplies etc.but i just dont know where to go so if anyone can help out my kids would really be greatful thank you

Try walmart or a dollar store?
Its not free, but its close. I'm 16, and I bought my own school supplies. It got everything I needed for then whole year for less then $10. (I am reusing my backpack from last year.) Its okay for them to use the same backpack from last year, its not a big deal. Actually if they still have some supplies from last year that are barley used or are still in pretty good shape then its not a bad thing for them to re-use them. I do it all the time.

The Target stores near me have some (just bought one as an xmas present for my kindergarten nephew), also some toy stores do. You might try Walmart. Sometimes in stores like Target, they'll have some little kids backpacks in the toy section.
www.ebags.com has good backpacks, there is a section of kid's backpacks, but they tend to be on the more expensive side than what you'll find at Target.
