Best bag for High School Girl?

Lily G

All my friends or classmates that are girls are getting the big book bags that go across the shoulder and I think there cute but I hear from people who have used them that now there posture is messed up? Is that true? Because I want my shoulders even? Should I use a backpack then? :D Thank you I live in Canada so if you know any good brands let me know

Answer
I think if you want a cute bag that doesn't have those risks, go to http://www.jatalo.com/shop

For every backpack they sell, they donate a year's worth of textbooks to a child in need and books71 gets you 10% off.

i wanted to go to hike/backpack on the lake of islands trail which is like 26 km or something,i have no one to go with so i was thinking about going by myself....i went hiking twice already once with a big group and once with 2 friends but nothing as long as this....i dont know much backpacking, but so far i have a tent and a sleeping bag, what else do i need?ive never made a fire before and never went out in the wilderness ever before....is it a bad idea for me to go alone?i really want to go,what should i do? i also heard about some story about some girl getting killed by coyotes in cape breton because she was alone...should i be worried about this?

Answer
No offence but are you nuts or suicidal?
An amateur should NEVER attempt a solo trip like that without any previous experience.
It's just far too dangerous for people who lack even basic fieldcraft skills like fire starting.

Yes, a girl was mauled to death by coyotes in Cape Breton.

Yes, you should be worried about that.

After all: this is Canada we're talking about:
-Bigger than the US, but barely 1/10th of America's population.
There's more wilderness than populated areas here and more wildlife than people.
And most of that wildlife has never learned to fear and avoid humans.

Plus not only does Cape Breton have coyotes, they have bears and bobcats too.
And the weather, which can turn on a dime.

Do Cape Bretoners a favour:
-Don't make them risk their lives trying to find & recover your body.

Instead, look up travel guides for Cape Breton.
There's all sorts of companies that do professional guiding there.
For example: http://www.greatearthexpeditions.com/
You're better off (and safer) with trained professionals.
