Broken L.L. Bean backpack?

Nicnac

one of the zippers on my backpack is kind of broken. a few of the little things(i dont know what they're called like the spikes on the zipper) bent or something and now i cant open my backpack like 2/3 of the way. ive had this backpack for 3 years and before that, i had another one that was the same kind that broke after 2 years. i dont remember if we had to pay to get a new one but i heard somewhere that ll bean has a lifetime warranty. can i get another one for free or the zipper repaired for free? what are my choices here? or what kind of place can i go to to get a zipper repaired?

P.S. the backpacks like falling apart(both straps have broken and i sewed them on and more than that to its practically on life support but i dont have alot of money and i dont want to ask my mom to buy me a new one cuz she dont have alot of money either.

PS: You shouldn't be hauling more than 20% of your body weight in a backpack... 10% is preferable. Even if it's a properly fitted framesack with pelvic band, kids shouldn't be carrying that much weight.
