What should a movie include to be attractive to teenage girls?

A romance?...

I need all your suggestions! Please be as lengthy as possible!!!! :)

No vampires please!!

Answer
To the average teenage girl? *Sigh*
Make the protagonist an "empty shell", a bit smart, a bit alienated, but mostly just plain. This will allow girls to put themselves in this characters place.
Then you let her meet some mysterious boy(heterosexuality is of course a must) who hates everybody because ANGST, but falls in love with our protagonist because she's so damn special. This boy is like a greek god, but he has a dark secret, that he eventually shares with the girl.
He must be perfect in every way possible.

Before you write the dialogue, read "Sarcasm for Dummies" (or watch Juno).
Add a soundtrack for the eternally misunderstood (consult Zach Braff), and you're good to go.

What is another reason why teenage girls should be allowed to get birth control without parental consent?

xoxooo

I'm writing a research paper about it and so far I only have 2 good reasons why teenage girls should be allowed to get birth control without parental consent. They are because birth control reduces teen pregnancy and provides other benefits like acne and menstrual period.

*10 POINTS WITH THE BEST ANSWER.
P.S. I'm just asking for help on my paper, not your opinion on it. If you disagree with my topic, then don't answer it.

Answer
There is no good reason. Teens getting birth control without parental consent only makes parent child communication worse. It also allows them to go behind the parents back, which is disrespectful and deceitful. What you listed are just general reasons why birth control should be used among women, not just teens. A teen is a child. A child cannot make the informed decision to take a drug that could potentially kill her. Yes BC pills can potentially kill you.

Wow those are some dumb excuses. I'll show each one and tell you the issues.

1: Boys can buy birth control in a store without their parents knowing, why can't girls buy BC?
(No they can't. Condoms are not birth control pills. Huge difference. If girls wanna buy condoms they can just as easily as well. BTW they have female condoms too).

2: The parents may not approve of their child having sex and therefore will refuse to buy them BC, but the teenage girl realizes that it's better to be safe than sorry so she gets on the pill anyways without her parents knowledge.
(Better safe than sorry? Really? You do realize birth control isn't 100% effective and it has many negative side effects that the teen probably doesn't realize. The parents need to know that their child is taking a drug. Also it doesn't protect against STD's. If the parents don't agree then the child needs to call a meeting with their counselor in their school to meet with her parents so they can talk this out and the parents can get educated).

3: The girl may feel too embarrassed or scared to tell her parents she wants BC because she's having sex, or is thinking about having sex.
(Well then she needs to suck it up. Her mother is there for a reason. It's to guide her and educate her).

4: Because BC is a right, not a privilege.
(Actually it's not. A teen doesn't have the right to be on birth control and no one has the right to have it. It's a drug. I guess the people have the right to take cocaine then huh? It's not logical to say that a person has the right to whatever drug they want, especially a child. She has the right to be protected but there are other methods out there that are quite effective. Did you know that condoms with the combination of spermicide is just as effective as Birth Control pills? It gives her protection without the drugs. It is up to the parents to put their child on a drug).

5: Because the girl may not even be having sex, she may have skin problems or very painful periods and believes BC will help her. But she's afraid if she tells her parents, they will jump to conclusions and think she's having sex.
(Okay see my response above to a similar reason. Birth control doesn't guarantee clear skin or relief from period pains. It can actually make it worse. Again a reason why parents need to know their kid is on a drug).

6: Because teenage girls have as much of a right to have safe sex as adult females.
(See number 4 about the condoms and spermicide. Also a teen is less likely to be emotionally and financially ready to deal with the consequences, another reason why kids need good communication with their parents).

7: The girls parents may not care what their child does, so they show no interest in taking her to buy birth control. Not everyone is a good parent. The girl realizes this and wants to buy BC.
(That is irrelevant as the parents can still consent to her obtaining it).

8: The parents think that if they let their child on BC, it may make other parents think they're bad parents for "allowing" her to have sex, so they refuse to buy her BC. But the girl understands that having safe sex is more important than her parents possibly getting a bad reputation.
(It's none of their damn business. What moron would advertise that their child is on birth control? This scenario is absurd).

9: The parents may say they don't have money for it. The girl could get a job and buy her own BC, if it was legal for her to buy it without consent.
(Again another irrelevant argument as the parents can still consent to her buying it herself).
