Why? I mean not matter how bad things can be, how can you find death appealing? Life is so fun and so full. And it truly is what you make it. There is a short period of your life that is dictated by others, but then you turn 18 and your free.
I think most of you just need to travel, backpack it somewhere different and fun. You'll see, life can be pretty amazing.
Listen, Im not in anyway saying life isnt hard, sometimes is more than hard. Somedays I get down and have no idea how im gonna deal with tomorrow. Especially to the 13 yr girl here that wanted to kill herself since she was 9/ I promise you that life does get better, and when you find out that your in control and you start doing things that make you happy, you'll see. Just stick it out. The problem isnt you its those who surround you that obviously have the issues.

In this day and age when traditions are dismissed as old fashioned. Example. People like the idiot Bill mauer (sp), with his all out attack on all things God, are accepted as being clever and brilliant.
See the movie 'Expelled'...by Ben Stein for a real eye opener on the conspiracy that has been forced upon us all...
Combine all of this with the entertainment industry that has kids starving themselves, thinking that they are fat...
It's hard time to be a kid these days...
Watch the movie, seriously.
BTW, to the 13 year old...I was once 13 and life was tough. Somehow you get through it. Some of the things that seem really important to you now , will have you smiling and shaking your head in a few years...Life is tough, but it should be. It has to be! Live and grow! someday everything that you have experienced, and are about to experience, will be a mountain of strength. Someday you'll be telling some young kid to hang in there! Remember, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger! Live long and prosper!

I've got a couple, based on what I've learned from my own experience and what I've noticed my own students doing.
First, you'll have a organizational thing-y for each class you're taking - whether it's a binder, or a folder or an accordion file. Be sure to have everything ready to go for each day in a different backpack or bookbag so on Tuesdays you know it's the green bag (or whatever). Keep each bag fully stocked with paper, pens, and the peripherals you'll need. That way all you have to do is put your laptop in the bag of the day.
Next, try using a variety of ink pens for taking notes in class (if you don't use your laptop to do so). For instance, use green for background notes or outlining, then use blue for basic facts that you'll need to know (bio's or formulas) and red for key facts that the prof says will be on the exam or quiz. That way when it comes time to study you can order rank your notes and study more effectively.
Also, do NOT highlight everything in your textbooks - that makes highlighting essentially useless. If everything is a high priority for you to remember then that means you are insecure about what you know and you're doomed to failure (not you personally, mind you. Just people who do this).
