Answer
A Haversack is a messenger bag if you live in the us, which you don't so nevermind.

Scared of starting secondary school?
Insert nam
I'm starting year 7 in a new school, completely different to what I'm used to etc.
To be honest,I'm horrified.I'm usual confident and a good speaker - but I'm absolutely horrified.
It's one of the best in the city.My mum works there, which is kind of awkward...
I'm scared of not fitting in overall.Any tips? What do you think? How will I survive (haha)?
I don't want to have to change myself to fit in..
Advice?:)
Also...
What kind of book bag should I get? What kind of stationery should I get?Should I get a nice foundation for bad spotty days?
Just need overall advice.=] like things you wish you knew before you started.
Thanks!

You'll fit in definitely. There's gonna be tons of more people in secondary school than in primary school.
You should get whatever book bag you feel comfortable carrying. There are messenger bags, regular backpacks, and there are girls who carry oversized tote bags.
You should get a messenger bag if you're worried about style but still wanna be comfortable. But I know messenger bags can be hard to fit in your locker. I made it work when I was in 8th grade but it was still a bit complicated.
Tote bags are awesome if you wanna be stylish. I'm not a bag carrying type of a girl so I really don't have a lot of experience with this. The thing about tote bags are that the handles can break easily if you don't get a really good kind and you'll be carrying a LOT of books. And it would eventually hurt your arms, carrying a bag everywhere. But then, you could hold some of the books in your arms and some in your bag.
Backpacks are nice if you want comfort and something that just works. They fit in your locker and they're usually big enough to fit everything you need. The problem I had with these were that I didn't like how they looked on my back. I thought they made me look like I had a hunchback. :P
But they're still pretty cute and come in so many different styles. It's up to you.
You don't really need foundation. I never used foundation. They can make you get more pimples. But if you must, just use tinted moisturizer, preferably with sunscreen in it.
