Soon I will be visiting some people in Ukraine. What would be something interesting for them from the USA? Of course something small, and not greatly expensive.
The gifts will be for the Grandmother, her daughter (30's) and the granddaughter (11), and yes, sadly they are very poor.

Who are the people you will be getting the gifts for? Adults, kids, senior people? What's their situation, do they work, are they retired, wealthy? The difference between very rich and the rest of the population is huge, there is barely any middle class there in Ukraine. Most people are very poor and can't afford much. Food is a big issue for retired people, the pension they get is not enough to buy anything other than bread, milk, basic stuff. There are seniors there who haven't had meat in a few years. If you elaborate on whom you will be meeting there, I'll be able to give you some ideas.

OK, I see the details. In that case, since they are all female, alcohol wouldn't be the best option. If you know their sizes, I would say any kind of clothes would work, cause those are expensive in Ukraine; shoes would be even better. But if you don't know the sizes, I would buy purses for the ladies, and a cool backpack for the girl. Alternatively, or additionally, nice looking winter scarves, gloves will do well. I know, these are not exciting, but practical gifts, whereas souvenirs will just collect dust. If you have space in your luggage, then nice warm robes are always appreciated by women. When people struggle financially, they spend money on necessities, and then on 'going out' clothes, while the 'at home' clothes get really worn out. Oh, and warm slippers (like the sherling ones they sell here), unless they have a dog - dogs eat right through those slippers. Nightgowns might be too personal, but all these are good when you don't know exact sizes, since they come in S, M, and L most of the time. Have a great trip, I hope you are not going now, they have ~100 degree weather there.

Can you give me tips for high school?

Paige Hutc

I am going to be a freshman at my school this year and I am semi-nervous. It is the preppiest, snobbiest, richest public school in my city, but I can not find it in myself to abandon it; my friends are still going there. So I am also going to this advanced school that drops me off at my home campus everyday at lunch, so it's twice as many people to get used to and a whole new campus to see. The kids that go there are from all the public schools in my city. So I am going to the advanced school when all of the athletic people go, the nerds go in the afternoon. I consider myself an averager, I just have athletic training in the afternoon at my home school.

Athletic training is basically where I watch football and basketball guys practice, and take care of them when they get hurt. I get to see all of the puking, nose clearing, and smell the sweat. yay.

I don't want "be yourself" or "just don't be nervous." I want HONEST, EXPLICIT (not cussing every two words, just real) and REAL tips. I want to be prepared.

I have a victoria's secret backpack that is kind of small, so I'll have to visit my locker a few times.

I know a total of 1 junior and few sophomores, so yeahhh.

Answer
High School is just 4 years of your life. It'll pass REALLY fast if you don't give any f*cks.
If you do however, you're gonna have a very bad time.
Just focus on your studying and nothing else because the other stuff aside from getting to learn something does not matter... like...at all.
