Is it hard to find a harness that will fit a dachshund right?

Princess

None of the harnesses at the pet store would fit my dachshund mix good. They rode up in the back. The only brand they had was Puppia.

Are there any brands that will fit him correctly that are reasonably priced?

Answer
There are lovely harnesses, and very well fitting ones for dachshunds. You can find them online, do a search.
Should buckle around the neck and under the chest, and have a hook on the back for the leash, spares pulling on the neck.

Our rescue has a member who makes them to order for dachshunds, we send out each adopted dog with one too. They close with velcro at the neck and under the chest, then they buckle both places too, only harness I ever used that a dachsie can't get out of.
She makes them like all sorts of little dresses, with peticoats and lace for the girls, everything from cheerleader outfits to camoflauge with pockets and backpacks for the boys.
They adorable, but, more importantly, they fit well and are secure.

Find a well fitted one, measure chest circumference and neck and make sure it is secure.

I'm building a chariot, and design suggestions or ideas?

Sadik

For Latin Club, nerdy I know, we're building a Chariot which we will be racing in a contest a couple months from now. One guy will be ''driving'' the chariot and four girls will be pulling it, why four girls I don't know it's just some tradition.... Any advice you could offer would help greatly,
Thanks......

Answer
light weight is all important.

Two bicycle wheels would be good, as they have low friction and low weight.

Very important for max power is how the girls pull. Ideally a harness would be best. Perhaps use ones from backpacks. The power has to come from the shoulders.

For example, the horse collar was a very important invention as it allowed the horse to pull 3 times harder than the previous methods.
