For Pasadena, CA
SpongeBob cake, order at the supermarkets a few days ahead, like Ralphs or Albertsons. They also have cupcake cakes, where they cover a bunch of cupcakes in frosting to look like a cake.
Target and Toys R Us usually have SpongeBob stuffed toys and things. You might be able to find SpongeBob charms, they look like little key chains that you can clip on sneakers, backpack, purse, phone, jacket zipper, etc.
If she has an iPod and itunes, Gift her episodes of SpongeBob, you can pick specific ones that will be gifted to her.
Bing her flowers and take her to a nice dinner, or a movie at the Paseo and then eat at one of the restaurants there. Islands isn't very expensive and has good food (unless she's vegetarian).
If it sounds like she'd like it, take her to Dave & Busters in Arcadia, or Bowling 300 in Hastings Ranch. A fun experience to remember, take photos.

My dance team is going on a really long car trip. I'll be in a car with girls that I barely know for about twelve hours. I have an iPod but I can't bring a cell phone (dance rules). What are some ways that I can keep myself occupied? Any good snack suggestions to bring along? PLEASE HELP!

If you're allowed, you can bring a portable Dvd player and some movies.
Some of your favorite magazines, if you have any summer reading to do, bring those books with you. You can get a LOT of reading done in that time!
If there's any friends you haven't seen during the summer, bring some paper, envelopes that are already stamped and addressed and write them a letter. I know, I said it! An old fashioned letter! Even to some relatives that you are close to like aunts and uncles, grandparents etc. that you haven't seen and would like to catch up with. I'm sure they would LOVE to hear from you! You can write to them!
Is there anything you need to catch up on? Like your address book and e-mail book like putting them all in one place, you can do that now.
I also agree with the other posters that this is a great time to get to know the other girls on the team. You're all in one place for a LONG time, you don't really have a choice but to get to know each other. I'm sure there will be some talking and getting to know each other. That will help pass some time especially since you're a whole team and you all don't really know each other, that's a LOT of catching up!
I would also bring some snacks and drinks for the trip. Some chips, snacks, cookies, and drinks, but make sure you have enough to share. You don't have to bring tons of everything but buy the bigger bags of chips, so you can share, that's a great ice breaker too! In college, one of the ice breakers that we used to meet each other was to get m&m's and say M&M's make friends and hand each other m&m's and it always worked! We all made friends right away! You can go and buy some bags and hand them out during the ride with that tag line. If it works, you've made some buddies for the ride, and if not, it's THEIR loss, NOT your's! For snacks, just bring your favorites, whatever chips and things you would eat at home, those are things you can bring with you.
You can bring a backpack and put your stash of snacks and magazines and drinks in there. I doubt you can bring a cooler with you with so many people in one car, but you can stuff as much as you can in a backpack for the car, and don't forget to have some cash handy IN the car for stops! You may want to get real food and not just snacks, and more things to drink that are colder, etc. Things like lunch, etc.
You can also bring a deck of cards, and if you go to like Toys R' Us, there are the small handheld electronic games that aren't expensive, they're not Gameboys or PSP but just one or two games and you can find one or two that you like and buy them and play them on the trip. I'm sure too as you get to know each other, you'll be trading off books, magazines, and games too. You can all swap for an hour or two and see what everyone has brought.
I hope these ideas helped and that you have a great trip. I also hope you make some great friends on this trip!
